Well
You will have to go to Lows or Home Depot and get a WC auger (WC=Toilet)
cost bout 20 Bucks.
The only problem you might have is if the get stuck in a odd place the auger wont catch them.
I have been a plumber for 20 yrs and 80% of the time the auger works the other 20% you have to remove the WC and turn it upside down and look to see if you can see the q-tips and pull them out.
Drain products do not work for this what so ever,
The 20bucks it worth it you will use it more then 1 time trust me if you have kids.

I am sorry this happened to you, you sound like you are doing all the right steps, but OH MY its sooo funny! seriously, I had 2 2yrsolds bugger both of my toliets, they put pull ups down there, toys, one night with a houseful of guests the little buggers took water from the tap and fill the toliet up with cup after cup after cup, then they FLUSHED!!!! lol I had 4inches of water, no joking! then it leaked into the basement and flooded that bathroom!

20 Q-tips should not clog either a 3" or 4" toilet line. There is probalby more going on. The auger is absolutely the right tool to use and you should continue with it again. If in fact your line is clogged and has water waiting to go through, the blockage should be getting wettter, meaning that it will loosen by itself. You should try the auger in the morning along with reflushig the toilet. A plumber is not going to use air, they will remove the toilet and snake the line with a larger snake than you have tried. Again, 20 Q-tips shoud not be able to clog a line and you probably have construction debris in the line that has slowly accumulated other debris with use and is now creating a blockage. If this is the case, than the best solution is to pull the toilet and snake the line. Finally, 20 Q-tips could clog a toilet vs the toilet line, if this is the case, your auger should easily correct the problem.

Are you sure the darling daughter didn’t put something else down the toilet too? In doing all the things you said you did, you most certainly should have cleared it of just Q-Tips.

20 or so wouldn’t have clogged the toilet like that. I’ll bet when you look further, you will find more objects.

Call a plumber and let us know what else is in there.

It is probably clogged further on down the line. Drano just came out with this new product that sends a blast of air down the line to force out the clog. Basically that is what a plumber will do when you have them come out.

The blockage is definately in the toilet itself. The internal trap would have caught anything sizable. The line underneath is probably 4 in. – too big to get clogged by q-tips. Continue to snake and plunge the toilet. It should eventually clear. If not you’ll have to pull the toilet and reach in from the other side. Turn the water off. Flush the toilet. Plunge as much water down as you can, or suck it out with a shop vac. Remove the bolt caps and unscrew the nuts on both sides. Grabbing hold of the bowl lift straight up. Lay the toilet on its side and try to fish out with your snake or coat hanger. Hope this helps. P.S. Get a new wax ring to reset the toilet, and forget about any Drano or Liquid Plummer product, Drain cleaners just don’t work.
