How to fix leak refrigerator frozen defrost drain tube

Water on the floor Easy cheap free. How to clean out ice build up drain plug stopped up. How-to tor a frozen defrost drain tube. Stop water from leaking onto the kitchen floor. No need to unplug the refrigerator itself. Good for people who cannot pull the refrigerator away from the wall to unplug it. Leave refrigerator in place.

@jlaw8444 I hope that it worked for you. I also used a little soapy water to rinse it through and clean it out. My freezer did not have a cap over that hole but most propably did. Did you get the water draining into the pan???

@hollypoland Thank you. When I discovered how to do it I thought, in spite of my disastrously messy kitchen I had to get it out there. Was this video hard to find or was anything missing in instructions I gave do you think? I can still add words to it if I need to or search tags. Thanks. I love that it helps someone else.

It is recommended to blow compressed air (if available) in the hole after the water cleaning. Thanks for posting.

This worked beautifully – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!. If I had not seen your video I would have called a repairman having to take off work and pay at least a $75 visit charge and an hours work when it only took me approx 30 min. THANK YOU!

Thank you very much for this video. We had the same exact problem and I believe it’s now solved. Once I pushed the tubing thru the hole the water went straight down. It looks like we both have the same crummy fridge too! hahaha. I hate the shelves in this freezer. They never stay straight in place. Thanks again! Great video!?
