Plumbing Advice Needed: Cold Tap Won't Work?
I need plumbing advice please!
Our cold tap in the kitchen wont work. When we turn it on nothing comes out. No funny noises or anything else. Just nothing coming through it at all. We first noticed something was wrong yesterday when there seemed to be less water coming through than usual. The hot tap works fine, no problems at all.
All other taps in the house are working fine. Does anyone have any tips on diagnosing the problem? Could the problem be with the actual tap? Or the pipe?
Any advice or suggestions grately appreciated!

I am going to assume ( I hate that word) that this is a single spout single control faucet you are talking about.
If it is then your "cartridge" (Mo en)or "ball" (Delta) is clogged. You said it started to slow yesterday and is clogged today.
It is a fairly easy fix. Shut your water off below the sink, BOTH hot and cold. You take the name plate (usually) off and then undo the screw that holds the lever down. undo the retaining ring (should be screwed down) and a ball type should come right off now, a cartridge type has an additional retaining ring to be pulled off (perpendicular to the stem of the cartridge) and then the cartridge can be pulled up.
Go to your hardware or plumbing supply store with the old part in your hand. Bring the new part home and install it in reverse.
If my assumption is wrong then my answer is wrong.

Im a Master Carpenter.. And you will need to replace the Faucet/ and any turn of valves! located neath the sink .. Good Luck! And if you Replace the sink Faucet you will need to purchase a basin wrench as well. This is what takes of the older style faucets!
