I am trying to start up a landscaping business, that will do lawn cutting, lawn clean up, and snow removal. Any tips on how about getting this up off the ground?

Along with taking a business accounting class, I’d recommend that you work at a regular job and save as much money as you can. The way the world economy is going, people are doing more of their own yard work instead of paying someone to do it for them. Not trying to rain on your parade, but just saying be realistic and wait for times to get better.

Bro it aint easy, takes customers and employees to make it worth while, id take a buissness class at a community college for a bit and figure out the trade before jumping in it….. trust me its worth it.

Send flyers in neighbourhoods with LARGE properties that look like they need help. Then do an amazing job on the first neighbourhood to hopefully spread your business by work of mouth,

You can also look for a landscape designer or design/build firm to take over the maintenance on a property once they’ve finished. Be sure to keep this relationship strong by referring your own clients back to them when they ask you for landscape design advice.

Find your local agricultural extension office. Take courses through them, they are inexpensive and geared towards people in the business. The topics range from estimating and quoting jobs to plant ID and lawn care. http://www.csrees.usda.gov/Extension/
also find a small business development center in your area (SBDC) these are located throughout the country http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/sbdc/sbdclocator/SBDC_LOCATOR.html they help small business get off the ground.
